Weddings ♥

Lately I have been mesmerized with a lot of ridiculous shows like "Say Yes to the Dress" and other bridal and "fashion" advice clips on television. I'm slightly perturbed by the behavior on these shows both from the customers and the sales personnel. I fully understand that leading up to a wedding, all the months of preparation can lead to stress unlike any other; afterall it is supposed to be a day that the wedded couple and all of their friends and family will remember forever, so of course it must be perfect! I believe that every bride should get her dream wedding... the one she has been dreaming of since she was but a little girl! However... There is a fine line between being stressed and letting everything get to your head. No one likes a bridezilla! So I figured I would dedicate this post to share with my readers the brides who have inspired me, the families who have literally made my jaw drop, and obviously a collection of ideas which I hope to incorporate in my wedding one day! Below I will continue to add insane quotes, pictures of dresses, rings, and other decor from which I was either inspired or disturbed, and other wedding related extras (:

First I thought I start with my dream wedding.

My Dress:

My Ring:

Inside of my cake (red velvet (: )

Outside of my cake:

Bridesmaids dresses (possibilities):

This is my favorite as of yet. I believe the design really works with my dream dress.

I really love this one as well. And I love the purple shoes with it.

Or maybe just a purple dress?

 Not so strapless?

Hm... Decisions, decisions...

And a funny quote I heard on a more recent episode of "Say Yes to the Dress" to end off the night:

"We mormons are just sexier than regular people so we have to cover all this up." ~ The brides' soon-to-be mother-in-law. Hahahaha oh my! (FYI I have nothing against Mormons, I'm just fairly certain that is not the reason they are so conservative.) There's a fine line between confidence and narcissism ladies!

My How Time Flies

I guess I have lost track of time, but I just wanted to update my readers and let you all know that I have updated my Recommendations page. I have a few new websites I would love for you all to check out while I continue to search for some cute styles at low prices. Currently I am only taking into consideration websites that are low on advertisements and unnecessary content, not to mention ones that aren't asking for $200 for a dress or shirt. I never realized how many tacky websites I had been browsing until I tried to find quality ones for my readers, so I look forward to sharing with you my new finds as they come along.

Absolutely Hectic

I realized I have been neglecting my poor blog and I assure any readers that I should have a new fashion post up by this up coming Friday. Things have been hectic at my house with some family issues. One being that I am moving back to Arizona for awhile, and as always, moving is very stressful. Another has been catching up with my online school work. I recently went on a trip to Arizona to visit some friends and family, and I completely lost track of time. The other is that my stepmother just found out she lost her baby. ): I ask that everyone please keep her in your prayers as she embarks on this emotional roller coaster. It has been an emotional journey for my whole family, but her the most. Thank you so much for your patience, and sorry for the delay!

Blogging, Fashion, and Everything Else!

I would like to celebrate the latest step in the beginning of my fashion journalism career... my first fashion blog! I can not wait to start sharing news weekly with you about the latest fashion advancements and how my fashion career progresses. I would just like to say that I am currently searching my local area for places to possibly intern or follow a professional around for a day, that kind of thing. So if you live in San Diego or have any recommendations/connections for me in the San Diego area, all help is greatly appreciated. I would prefer to intern with a magazine author, though I am sure it will be difficult to arrange that; but I am determined to make it happen!

As for news with this blog... it is currently under construction. I have made an "About Me" page for anyone who is interested in reading it (please check it out!), and am working on a "Recommendations" page with websites I recommend for all followers and curious blog lurkers. They will include websites for students, as well as fashion websites I recommend and other websites that I have found on my random web surfing. And as I like to keep a schedule and currently am very busy with online school and applying for jobs/internships/scholarships, I am going to say for now my blogs will only be posted on Fridays until I am able to give more time to quality research for my followers. I will occasionally post updates about my search for an internship/job and the pros and cons of my search on other days of the week, however, those will not be scheduled so much as whenever I have new information to share. Thank you for reading and please check regularly for new updates! And remember...
